To say that this has been a unique, challenging and chaotic time would be an understatement. First and foremost, we would like to sincerely thank all that have shown such incredible support and kind words through these unprecedented times. We have worked hard to continue upholding our standards to offer the RYE experience in your home. Along with adapting and evolving to offer new ideas including our Mystery Cooking Competition, Brunch boxes, Mixology Kits to mention a few!

The safety of our guests and team has and will remain to be our top priority at RYE. Once open the team will be strictly following best common practices suggested by the CDC and Wisconsin Restaurant Association. You will notice some changes to our restaurant when dining with us. We want to take this time to highlight a couple of the larger changes.

  •  OUTDOOR DINING – will now be available, we will have 8 tables on College Avenue which will be spaced 6 feet apart to offer social distancing. Advance reservations will not be accepted for outdoor dining.
  • RESERVATIONS & GROUP SIZES - RYE will be accepting both reservations and walk in guests.  Groups will be limited to a maximum of 12 people per table at this time, however this may change as we see fit.
  • RYE’S MAIN BAR - The bar will no longer be seat yourself, all seats at the bar top and tables will be sat by our host team.  We will be unable to guarantee bar seating when you make your reservation.
  • CONTACTLESS - Ordering and Payment will be available. Simply scan the QR code on your table and follow the links to view the menu. A QR code will also be available on your receipt if you wish to use our touchless payment system.

More Information on our New Safety Procedures


We will be taking the following measures to ensure the safety of our guests and staff:

  1. Managing guest and employee health.
    1. Requiring face masks be worn by RYE staff members in direct contact with guests.
    2. Requiring RYE staff to wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
    3. Continue to practice social distancing by limiting guest capacity to 50% and arranging our dining spaces to allow 6 feet of separation between tables.
      1. Groups will also be limited to 10 guests per table maximum.
      2. Additional dining spaces such as outdoor dining have been added to create more seating for our guests.
      3. The RYE bar will no longer be seat yourself, all seats at the bar top and tables will be sat by our host team.  We will be unable to guarantee bar seating when you make your reservation.
      4. Guests will be encouraged to remain seated at their tables unless using restroom facilities.
    4. Dine-in take out packages will be offered tableside versus being packaged by staff.
    5. Installation of alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations near entrances and restrooms.
    6. Increased sanitization of high touch areas including:
      1. tables & chairs
      2. doorknobs
      3. light switches
      4. countertops
      5. phones
      6. restroom toilets & sinks
      7. staff touch screens
      8. guest check presenters & pens
  2. Contactless Ordering & Payment:
    1. Scan the QR Code on your table to access the menu
      1. Single use menus available upon request
    2. Scan the QR code on your receipt to Touchless Payment option
